Child Protection Policy

PlayFit Sports Club has adopted the Volleyball England Child Protection Policy and follows the Volleyball England guidelines for all of our sports:

  • A child’s welfare is of paramount importance.
  • Everyone working with children has a moral and legal responsibility to safeguard and promote a child’s welfare.
  • Special care should be taken when dealing with children whose age, inexperience or physical state makes them particularly vulnerable to abuse.
  • We strive to create an environment where all children can learn about, participate in and enjoy sports free from abuse and harassment.
  • A child has the right to be protected from abuse, regardless of age, ability, gender, racial origin, religious belief or sexual orientation.
  • The rights, dignity and worth of a child should always be respected.
  • We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that unsuitable people are prevented from working or helping within the club.
  • We will ensure that all volunteers are aware of their responsibilities with regard to child protection.
  • We will implement good practices.
  • We will respond appropriately to suspicions of abuse.
  • All of our junior coaches will be DBS checked.
  • Our designated Child Protection Officer is Chandresh Thakkar who can be contacted via the Contact form.
